Eric Bloom founded Mobile Marcom in 2010 to provide clients with standards compliant mobile web design, mobile SEO and analytics, and social media marketing following industry best practices to successfully compete in the mobile marketplace.
Eric has a 25+ year career in graphic design, advertising, public relations, marketing communications, web design, SEO and Internet marketing. He founded and continues to operate one of the first web development and Internet marketing firms in Santa Cruz County, Virtual Marketing Communications, in 1994. Eric received a BA degree in History from Stanford University and Professional Certifications in Interactive Advertising and International Marketing from UCSC Extension in Silicon Valley. In 2010 he was certified as a Social Media Strategist by SMMU.com.
Eric has provided web design, search engine optimization, ecommerce and email marketing campaigns for many of the Monterey Bay Area's most recognized tourism businesses including: Roaring Camp Railroads, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Bonfante Gardens Family Theme Park, City of Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz Conference & Visitors Council, Gilroy Visitors Bureau, Bittersweet Bistro, Shadowbrook Restaurant, Crow's Nest Restaurant, Aldo's Harbor Restaurant, Erik's Deli Café, Nicholson Vineyards and Pajaro Dunes Company. In addition he has worked with corporate marketing departments, advertising agencies and graphic design firms on nationally and internationally known brands including Telsa Motors, ConAgra Foods, Furuno USA, Penn Reels and ITT Night Vision.
Eric lives in Aptos with his wife and son. His youth sports coaching experience spans baseball, soccer and basketball. He is a past board member and vice-president of Aptos Little League. He enjoys spending time in the Sierra trying to make hooks and fish interact.
