Jeffery graduated from the Brooks Institute of Photography in 1979. In 1980 he founded Visioneering Studios in San Francisco and became known as the photographer to hire for “outside the box” thinking. Visioneering carved out a niche with their multi-image solutions, clean studio execution and special effects shots.
Jeffery's editorial clients include United Press International, numerous newspapers, NGOs and corporations. He has photographed wars, earthquakes and other hard breaking news. After surviving stabbings, small plane crashes and several nights in detention, he has decided to limit his international assignments to corporate work!
Clients include dozens of Fortune 500 corporations including: Microsoft, Apple, Seagate, Sunset, General Motors, publishers, news agencies, manufacturers, scientific research firms, hotel chains, airlines, and many others. He has taught at California College of the Arts in Oakland, Academy of Art in San Francisco, Cabrillo College in Aptos, CA and Chabot College in Hayward, CA.
Jeffery currently teaches classes at all levels but concentrates on giving workshops to professional photographers and others that use photography in their work.
