Specializing in all phases of creative development, web site development, and brand strategy. Print or screen,
I can deliver quality design on time and within a budget. I design from concept to production. For larger projects, I source and manage teams of writers, web producers, graphic designers & other vendors. Industries served include: government, technology, engineering, retail, entertainment, philanthropy and higher education.
Client projects include:
Girls Middle School – Web redesign and content management system integration currently in progress. Responsibilities include interface design, project management.
Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History – Brand development for 100 year old public museum. Responsibilities included brand research and positioning, logo design, web architecture and web design.
Network for Good – A joint venture of Cisco Foundation, AOL-Time Warner Foundation, Yahoo! and nonprofit sector leaders. Responsibilities included brand development, naming strategy, standards documentation, site design and editorial development.
Seagate Technology – Brand Identity Guidelines, Design Guidelines, Signage Guidelines: architected program, managed writing, art directed. Final deliverables included web site and PDFs.
BigBand Networks – Brand Identity redesign of pre-IPO broadband delivery products and services company. Projects included: PowerPoint presentation, Flash sales presentations, web design, trade show booths for America, China & Europe, Documentation manual covers, white papers, data sheets, t-shirts.
UC Santa Cruz Student Health Center – Yearly student mailing since 2005 includes instructions for parents and students for required health documentation. Responsibilities include: Overall design direction to family with UCSC collateral, photography and print coordination, project management.
Institute on Science for Global Policy – Brand identity development and implementation for a political/academic think tank. Responsibilities included: logo design, web design, logo and identity guidelines, signage design, print and signage coordination.
UC Santa Cruz Extension – Brand identity development for a public educational institution. Refreshed logo design to emphasize Silicon Valley location and invoke strong associations with the University of California.
Chevron – Environmental graphics, signage, printed collateral and presentation design for annual executive meeting. Adhering to Chevron’s brand identity guidelines, created and produced a unique look for all branded materials.
YouSendIt – Email blasts, web advertising, marketing collateral for digital content delivery company.
Working closely with marketing team, created concepts and designs for banner ads to family with targeted
email messaging.
Santa Cruz County Fire Chiefs Association – Web site design, architecture and development for consortium of firefighters. Responsibilities included project coordination, web design, information architecture and contractor coordination.
Organic Farming Research Foundation – Annual report, advertising, email marketing. A fresh look for a growing non-profit advocacy group.

Corporate Branding responsibilities included: brand development and planning, brand identity standards development, brand architecture and development, liaison with internal legal council, naming strategy and trademark management, brand education and brand evangelism.
Creative Direction responsibilities included: art direction, worldwide MarCom management, print buying, localization of product collateral, department management, and oversight of annual budget. Designed and art directed print, web, video, packaging and multimedia. Established Seagate’s first Creative Services Department.
