Melody Sharp Web Design provides complete web design services for small and mid-sized businesses and nonprofits. Previously a writer, I switched to design ten years ago after becoming fascinated by the concept of combining graphics, words and technology.

My goal is to provide even the smallest business with an online presence. I enjoy helping people through the hosting hurdles; then expanding their website capabilities as their business grows. I host sites via Cruzio and also develop sites for Joomla CMS.

I've been doing sites since 1996 but quit my day job in 2004. I've designed more than 40 sites and also do site maintenance. Lately I've been adding SEO/SEM assistance, too.

In my past lives, I've worked as a magazine editor and writer and wrote a self-help book for women in business. I serve on the boards of the Land Trust of Santa Cruz County and the Volunteer Centers of Santa Cruz County.
