I am a researcher who wants to understand the ways technology helps and hinders our connections to each other and within the different parts of ourselves - emotional, intellectual, physical, and spiritual.

A former psychiatrist, I did research on the emotional impact of virtual reality at the University of Michigan. I am now in Santa Cruz which I believe is a rich environment for growing a new synthesis of emotional, intellectual, physical and spiritual that can help avoid some of the traps that single mindedness often creates.

As part of that vision, I have also been contributing time to the SCD+IC.
