With 12 years experience in the field of landscape architecture, Oona is a leader in promoting sustainable and ecological approaches to site design. Her portfolio includes the Seattle Civic Center; the University of Washington Seattle Campus; a Master Plan Bovec, Slovenia as a Flubright Scholar; and the Transbay Transit Center in San Francisco, CA. She is active in developing water reuse systems, such as graywater and rainwater catchment systems, and also guides the standards and guidelines for rainwater and graywater catchment systems for Monterey County. With her proficient knowledge of adaptive and native plants in the Pacific Northwest, ethnobotanical applications, designing for habitat, water efficient and reclaimed water irrigation design, hardscape design, site stormwater management solutions, and site programming and layout skills, her designs remain attractive with minimal maintenance requirements.
