I am a recruiter and entrepreneur with a background in marketing and business strategy. I live and work in the beautiful seaside city of Santa Cruz situated at the northern tip of the Monterey Bay on the central Californian coast. My home is only a 5 minute drive from the crashing waves down by the beach, 10 minutes from the bustling downtown life on Front and Pacific, 15 from the UC campus up on the hill, and 20 minutes from the lush evergreen rain forests that populate the foothills all around the city.
What I love most about Santa Cruz, however, is not its breathtaking beaches or ambient forests. It’s not my apartment or the downtown nightlife -what I love most about my city is the passion and devotion that its people have for their professions, the love and concern that its residents have for their city, and the extraordinary and exciting opportunities that I see in the city’s future.
I am a firm believer in the power of building and connecting grassroots communities and in the compounding power of collaboration. There is a vision for a better tomorrow, in Santa Cruz and in our global community, and that is what I want to devote my life and my career to. Steve Jobs once asked the President of PepsiCo, “Do you want to sell carbonated sugar water for the rest of your life, or do you want to change the world?”
